Also X52 has a dual stage trigger, which T16 doesn't, but not really needed for ED. Big minus: buttons on T16 feel VERY cheap. Check the TARGET manual online to see if you'd be willing to invest some time to learn its programming language. Sounds complicated, but after an hour playing, you'll love it. X52 has more buttons but T16 can use TARGET, which for example allows instead of one button for next subsystem and one for previous subsystem, have it both on the same button with short press = next and long press = previous. Even if you are using voice attack, the more buttons the better. I would say T16 leaves a lot more room for improvement of skill and muscle memory, IF you're into that.Īlso you need lots of buttons for ED. Makes very small, minute movements almost impossible and very frustrating, but can be somewhat alleviated with sensitivity curves. I tried modding the X52 but it stayed very sticky. But there are lots of comparisons online also.įor ED specifically, I would say it depends on if you are really into fixed weapons (->T16) or if you fly mostly gimbaled (->X52), because of the excellent precision of T16.
